    -1 Visa:
In many cases, foreign nationals wishing to come to the United States must first obtain a visa before entering, whether it is a nonimmigrant visa for a temporary stay or an immigrant visa for permanent residence. The B-1 Business Visitor Visa is intended for foreign nationals whose planned travel is related to a business activity such as meeting with a business contact, attending a conference, or negotiate a contract. In order to apply for a B-1 visa, foreign nationals must go to the local American Embassy or Consulate with jurisdiction over their permanent residence. Applicants will be asked to demonstrate the purpose of the trip, that they plan to remain for only a limited period, evidence that they have sufficient funds to cover their expenses while in the United States, evidence of compelling social and economic ties outside of the United States, and that they have a residence outside of the U.S. in addition to other binding ties that will ensure their willingness to return home at the end of the visit. The U.S. currently participates in a visa waiver program with 35 other countries, allowing travel without visas for stays lasting less than 90 days. These countries include: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. 2 Visa:
A B2 visa is the most common type of visa as it has multiple purposes. The B2 visa is a type used for temporary visitors traveling to the United States for pleasure. As a B1 visa is closely related through its specific use of being the type for a temporary visit for business purposes, the two types go hand in hand. However the B2 is the most common due to the fact that people would seek this out as they come on any sort of pleasure trip or vacation to the United States and require the proper clearance. This means that the consulate or embassy for which an individual seeks out and attempts to apply for their B2 visa must see their reasons for travel as legitimate and feel that the duration of time they are requesting is real. The biggest concern with these types of visas is people overstaying their stated duration. [ more ]
